SJTU and Samsung Electronics Launched
Joint Laboratory for Multimedia Broadcasting
On August 13th, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Samsung Electronics and Samsung BST signed a cooperation agreement on a joint laboratory for multimedia broadcasting during a ceremony held at SJTU Minhang Campus.
Before the ceremony, Jiang Sixian, SJTU President, met representatives from Samsung. SJTU Vice president Mei Hong, Dean of SEIEE Mao Junfa, Director of CMIC Zhang Wenjun, Vice Dean of SJTU Office of Research Management Jin Sun and Vice President of NERCDTV Guan Yunfeng attended the ceremony.
Under the framework of the agreement, SJTU-Samsung Joint Laboratory for Multimedia Broadcasting will be launched at CMIC. The initial cooperation will last for 5 years to boost the basic and application research in the multimedia broadcasting field.
